AFG3000 Series Quick Start User Manual

ArbExpress

ArbExpress is a Windows-based software for creating and editing waveforms for Tektronix AWG and AFG instruments. With

ArbExpress you can quickly and conveniently create the desired waveforms and send them to AFG3000 Series Arbi-

trary/Function Generators.

The following table and list describe the system requirements and general features.

■ Create waveforms from standard waveform templates

■ Modify and transfer waveforms to perform DUT level tests

■ Directly import waveforms from Tektronix oscilloscopes

■ Send waveforms to AWG/AFG instruments directly from ArbExpress or MATLAB

■ Math operations on waveforms

The following pages contain the screen interface and basic operating procedures for using ArbExpress. For more informa-

tion on ArbExpress, refer to the ArbExpress online help.

NOTE. You can use ArbExpress to transfer waveform data to the AFG3000 series instrument. When you transfer waveform

data (.tfw file), any part of the waveform outside of allowed limits in the AFG3000 series will be automatically converted to

be within the allowed range.
