Issued: January 10, 2020
We
Tektronix, Inc
P.O. Box 500
Beaverton, OR 97077
declare that
TBS2072B
is compliant to Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on
the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
(‘RoHS 2 Directive or ‘RoHS Recast’), as last amended prior to the date of issuance of this certificate.
RoHS Compliance means the part contains less than 0.1% by mass (1000 ppm) in homogeneous
material for lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated
diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and less than 0.01% by mass (100 ppm) of homogeneous material for
cadmium, unless used in an application that is specifically exempted by the Directive or its
amendments.
Applicable exemptions:
6(a) Lead as an alloying element in steel for machining purposes and in galvanised steel containing up to 0.35 %
lead by weight
6(b) Lead as an alloying element in aluminum containing up to 0.4 % lead by weight
6(c) Copper alloy containing up to 4 % lead by weight
7(a) Lead in high melting temperature type solders (i.e. lead- based alloys containing 85 % by weight or more lead)
7(c)-I Electrical and electronic components containing lead in a glass or ceramic other than dielectric ceramic in
capacitors, e.g. piezoelectronic devices, or in a glass or ceramic matrix compound
7(c)-II Lead in dielectric ceramic in capacitors for a rated voltage of 125 V AC or 250 V DC or higher
15 Lead in solders to complete a viable electrical connection between semiconductor die and carrier within
integrated circuit flip chip packages
33 Lead in solders for the soldering of thin copper wires of 100 um diameter and less in power transformers
The above exemption list may not be exhaustive. Inquire if further information is needed.
