1) Measurement Category I (CAT I) refers to measurements performed on circuits not directly

connected to mains.

2) Measurement Category II (CAT II) refers to measurements performed on circuits directly

connected to the low-voltage installation.

3) Pollution Degree 2 refers to operating environment where normally only dry, non-conductive pollution

occurs. Temporary conductivity caused by condensation must be expected.
