1. Welcome TeleNav™ v5.5 utilizes the integration of GPS position-determination technology, the Java™ programming environment, and access to your wireless carrier’s data network. Supported RIM BlackBerry devices provide both the Java environment and access to the wireless network. The TeleNav application provides: • GPS navigation that punctually guides you turn-by-turn to any destination address in the Continental U.S and Canada.
WARNING: Drive safely and use common sense. The vehicle operator’s personal judgment, traffic regulations, and common sense must always take precedence over the instructions provided by TeleNav. It is your responsibility as the vehicle operator to drive safely, observe all traffic rules, and above all use your own personal judgment while driving.

Clicking the Menu key or the trackball while using the TeleNav application may give you a variety of options, depending on what screen you are on. The options are discussed in the appropriate sections below. There is usually an option for Help and one to take you back to TeleNav Home to reduce the number of times you would have to press the Escape key. 5.
2. Press the Menu key and select “Go To…” 3. Input the OTA download link: http://ota.telenav.com/ota/sn and click the trackball. 4. Choose Download on the confirmation screen. NOTE: If you would like to set application permissions for TeleNav in this step, check the box, “Set application permissions” using the Space key. You may also be prompted when you first launch TeleNav. 5. After the application downloads successfully, click OK. 6.
Network Access TeleNav GPS Navigator uses the public Internet to access its servers for mapping, routing, and search services from your device. If you are not using your BlackBerry for e-mail services, you will still need to add an individual BlackBerry email plan to have access to data services. There are three different network settings for you to select from. Wait 90 seconds after turning on your BlackBerry to allow these services options to register.
4. The first time you use TeleNav, you must grant TeleNav access to the network so it can authenticate your account, fetch maps, get navigation routes, and search for businesses. Press OK on the Please Read screen to begin this process. 5. On the next screen, click View. 6. Make any changes to the Permissions screen. TeleNav recommends accepting the default values. 7. Click Menu and choose “Save.” Registration 1. This screen will collect your first and last name, along with your email address.
2. Next, you will be asked to input your 4-digit PIN. If you forgot your PIN, click on the link to have it delivered to your phone via an SMS message. 3. The TeleNav Warning screen appears. If you agree to the terms, choose Go to continue. 4. The first time you launch TeleNav, you will be offered a brief tour. If you decide to skip the tour now, you can always launch it in Share & More >> Product Tour. 5.
NOTE: Do not interact with the BlackBerry while this download is underway. Wait for it to finish. When the download is completed, you will see the TeleNav Home Menu. NOTE: If, after you press the trackball, the TeleNav application indicates that it cannot reach the TeleNav servers, the most likely reason is that your carrier data service plan is not yet active. If so, you will be notified at this point and will be directed to go to www.telenav.com to extend your service agreement.
