14. Set network services features
The following net work services can be obt ained from your service provider:
Voice privacy
Call wait ing
Call forwarding
When you subscribe t o any of t hese services, your service provider gives you a feat ure
code t hat activat es each service. Deactivat ion codes are used t o deactivat e each
serv ice.
After you st ore t he appropriate code in your phone, t he code is sent t o the network t o
verify t hat you’re using t he correct feat ure code. The voice privacy feat ure does not
require you t o store a feat ure code before using it .
Aft er you st ore a feat ure code, t he respect ive service appear s as a m enu opt ion on
your phone’s screen. You can use these m enu s t o activat e and deactivat e t he net work
serv ices.
14.1 Set up how your phone selects a system
Your phone is capable of working in resident ial, private, and public systems (such
as your hom e sy st em ) . You can choose how your phone select s a net w ork t o use.

Αυτοµατιχ : Your phone aut om at ically search es for available net works and
chooses t he appropriat e one. Every t im e you t urn on your phone, it reset s t o
Αυτοµατιχ .





Μανυαλ : The phone searches for net work s and then displays a listing of all
of t he possible net works on y our phone’s screen. Nex t t o each net work , one of
t he following appears: Αϖαιλαβλε or Νοτ αϖαιλαβλε . I f a net work is
designated as
Νοτ αϖαιλαβλε , you cannot use it .


Νεω Σεαρχη : Your phone begins a new search for bot h privat e and
resident ial syst em s. When it finds t he best syst em av ailable, y our phone
display s it on it s screen. You can t hen select t his sy st em or st art anot her
sear ch b y pressing Νεξτ .

14.2 Roaming
The t erm roam ing is used t o indicat e when your phone is not in it s hom e area.
Calls m ade or received while you are roam ing are usually m ore expensive t han
calls m ade in your home area.
