For t he safe and efficient operat ion of your phone, observe t he following
guidelines:
EXPOSURE TO RADIO FREQUENCY SIGNALS
Your wireless handheld port able t elephone is a low power radio t ransm it t er and
receiver. When it is ON, it receives and also sends out radio frequency (RF)
sign als.
I n August 1996, t he Federal Com m unicat ions Commissions ( FCC) adopt ed RF
exposure quidelines wit h safet y levels for handheld wireless phones. Those
guidelines are consistent with t he safety standards previously set by both U.S. and
int ernat ional st andards bodies:

Those standards were based on com prehensive and periodic evaluat ion s of t he
relevant scient ific lit erat ure. For exam ple, over 120 scient ist s, engineer s, and
physicians from universit ies, governm ent healt h agencies, and indust ry reviewed
the available body of research to develop t he ANSI Standard (C95.1)
