2 DRIVER/UTILITY INSTALLATION
2.1 System Requirements
Below lists the minimum requirement to use TWL-C11 PC card:
1. A computer with a PCMCIA Type II slot which comply with revision 2.10 of the PCMCIA specification.
2. Win95/98/2000/NT or Linux operating system.
3. Minimum 5 Mbytes free disk space for installing driver and utility program.
2.2 Driver installation
2.2.1 Windows 95/98/2000
1. Boot your notebook PC under Microsoft Windows 95/98/2000/NT.
2. Insert TWL-C11 wireless LAN card into the PCMCIA slot.
Follow the direction of “INSERT THIS SIDE UP” indication on TWL-C11’s label to insert TWL-C11 into the
PCMCIA slot.
CAUTION: Do not force the client adapter into the slot. Forcing it will damage both the client adapter and
the slot. If the client adapter does not go in easily, remove the card and reinsert it.
3. Windows should automatically recognize that the card has been inserted. It then displays a dialog box titled
“New Hardware Found”.
4. Tell Windows that the driver is located on CD-ROM drive. Accept all defaults.
5. After successful installation, you will see two network components (TWL-C11 Wireless LAN PC Card Adapter
and TCP/IP -> TWL-C11 Wireless LAN PC Card Adapter) installed in your network configuration.
Please refer to Windows on-line help or your network administrator to change each setting.
