11.10.3 Example
Scenario
Michael bought an AC10/AC10U for network after having broadband. He wants to make the web server built on
LAN accessible to internet users.
The following figure shows the scenario:
Solution
This requirement can be addressed by the Virtual Server function.
Assume that the internal web server information is listed as follows:
Server IP Address: 192.168.0.110
MAC Address of the Server Host: C8:3A:35:13:05:18
User Name/Password: admin/admin
Server Port: 80
Procedures:
Step 1 Configure the Virtual Server function
1. To access the configuration page, click Advanced Settings > Virtual Server.
2. Internal IP Address: Enter IP address of the internal web server, which is 192.168.0.110 in this example.
3. LAN Port: Click drop-down list box and select internal service port number, which is 80(HTTP) in this
example.
4. Protocol: Select protocol of a service from the drop-down list box, which is TCP&UDP in this example.
5. Click +New.
