Resetting the router via the RST/WPS button
Power on your router. When the SYS indicator blinks, hold the RST/WPS button down for about 8 seconds. Your
router is reset successfully when all the indicators blink once.
12.7 Firmware Upgrade
12.7.1 Overview
This module enables you to upgrade the firmware of the router.
Firmware upgrade offers the router with more stable performance and new functions. The router supports
Online Upgrade and Local Upgrade, and the default setting is Online Upgrade, which means the router
automatically detects whether the new firmware is available or not and displays its information if any.
To access the configuration page, click System Settings > Firmware Upgrade.
12.7.2 Steps for local upgrade

Before an upgrade, check if the firmware is accurate. Erroneous firmware will damage the router.

Do not power off the router during an upgrade. Otherwise, the router may be damaged.

After the firmware is upgraded, you are recommended to restore the factory settings of the router
and configure the router again, so as to ensure stability of the new firmware and proper operation of
its new functions.
1. Log in to the official website of Tenda http://www.tendacn.com and download the latest firmware to
your computer.
2. Log in to the web UI of the router, and choose System Settings > Firmware Upgrade.
3. Upgrade Type: Click Local Upgrade.
4. Select Upgrade File: Click Choose File, and select the firmware that has been downloaded to your
computer.
