1.7 Normal Operation
Once you power-on the TeraRanger Distance OSD, it will search for connected TeraRanger
One sensors. A GREEN LED will flash for each connected sensor on the board. It can take few
seconds before the distance values become available on the screen.
For a sensor to be recognised by the Distance OSD it is essential that each connected sensor
reads a distance to a target during the boot-up process. Ensure that all connected sensors have
a target surface in range when powering-on.
If you use only one TeraRanger One with the Distance OSD, it will automatically appear on
your screen.
If you use more than one TeraRanger One with the Distance OSD, you need to configure
the settings with the graphical configuration tool in order to be able to see the data output of
each TeraRanger laid over the top of the live video feed.
The tool will also allow you to choose where you want each sensor's data to be displayed on the
screen.
2 Graphical Configuration Tool: Configure your Distance OSD
A free graphical user interface is available for Windows. This allows you to configure the
TeraRanger Distance OSD and to perform any firmware upgrades. Download the Graphical
Configuration Tool here.
