• The integrated safety grid prevents contact of the patient or the operator with the
plasma source integrated into the plasma source unit, while it produces plasma.
• An unambiguous identification of the attached spacer is enabled via an integrated
RFID-transponder. After using the spacer, it is marked as “invalid” and cannot be used
for any further treatments. In case of an invalid spacer, the plasma care® device can-
not be activated.
• With one spacer a maximum of 6 plasma treatments can be performed on a single
patient. The use of a spacer on more than one patient is not permitted due to the cross-
contamination risk.
6.4 User interface
The user interface indicates the system status and is used for controlling the device. The follow-
ing status displays are possible:
On / Off (white):
By exerting extended pressure, the plasma care® is switched on or off. If the plasma care® is
switched on, the On / Off button will glow white.
