EC Declaration of Conformity
This is to certify that models 352/353/354 conform
to the protection requirements of the council directive
89/336/EEC, in the approximation of laws of the member
states relating to Electromagnetic compatibility by
application of the following standards:
EN 50081-1 1992 Emissions Standard
EN 50082-1 1992 Immunity Standard
To ensure conformity with these standards, this
instrument must be operated in accordance with the
instructions and specifications given in this manual.

WARNING: Please follow manufacturers test
procedures whenever possible. Make sure probe tip and
shaft are thoroughly cleaned before inserting it into any
food product.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
ALWAYS
Test the 341/342 before using it to make sure it is operating properly.
Inspect temperature probes before using to make sure there are no breaks
or shorts.
Double check all connections before testing.
NEVER
Insert the probe into an electrically charged medium.
Touch the probe tip and shaft after it has been inserted in hot material.

1. Controls and Functions:
Push Buttons
Turns the 341/342 on and off.
C/F Selects Centigrade of Fahrenheit
K/J Selects K or J type thermocouple.
Min/Max Selects Min or Max reading
REC Activates the Min/Max feature.
1/0.1 Selects resolution (341)
T1/T2/T Selects probe and differential mode (342)
HOLD Freezes the reading on the LCD
2. Step by Step Procedures
a. Connect the temperature probe to the 341/342.
b. Turn the 341/342 on.
c. Insert the tip of the probe into the substance
being measured.
d. Read the temperature on the LCD, allowing
approximately 30 seconds for the reading to
stabilize.

MAINTENANCE
1. Battery Replacement: The 341/342 will display battery symbol when the
internal 9 Volt battery needs replacement. Replace battery as follows:
a. Disconnect and remove all temperature probes from 341/342.
b. Loosen the 4 screws from the back of the 341/342.
c. Remove the back cover.
d. Remove old battery and replace it with new battery.
f. Reassemble instrument in reverse order from above.
2. Cleaning your 341/342
Use a mild detergent and slightly damp cloth to clean the surfaces of
341/342.
