Connection to an AV receiver
The variety of uses for the Concept E includes
connection to an AV receiver. Although designed
to be fully active, the set is partially active in
conjunction with an AV receiver. You can connect
the Concept E 100/200/300/400 speakers as you
would a normal speaker system: the five satellites
are connected via speaker cables to the corre-
sponding speaker outputs on the AV receiver:
front R/L, rear R/L and centre; the subwoofer is
connected via a mono-cinch cable to the sub-out
output on the AV receiver.
If the AV receiver has preamplifier outputs for
all channels (front R/L, rear R/L, centre and sub-
woofer), the Concept E set can also be connected
to the subwoofer via three cinch cable pairs, and
the satellites can be connected to the subwoofer
via speaker cables. However, we recommend using
the first version.
AV receiver settings are de-
scribed in detail on page 15.
