Concept E ·
Set-up: DVD player · Receiver · Decoderstation
Setting at the AV receiver
If the Concept E set is connected to an AV receiver,
the way the speakers function will depend on the AV
receiver settings. The full complement of speakers
will emit sound only when the decoder on the re-
ceiver assigns the signals correctly. This is because
the Concept E itself has no built-in decoder func-
tion. The set-up options for the AV receiver differ
greatly from appliance to appliance. Please consult
the handbook for your AV receiver.
Adjustment to the DVD player
with 5.1 analogue output
The Concept E 100/200/300/400 set has no
integrated decoder functions. Therefore it is
»dependent« on the allocation of the external
decoders when splitting the signals. This de-
coder is a component of the DVD player soft-
ware. Its set-up options differ greatly from de-
vice to device. Please consult the handbook for
your DVD player.
The following basic settings should always be

speaker set-up menu.
Ě The optimum cut-off frequency is
150Hz –120Hz or 200Hz is also possible.
