Connect the System 6 THX
®
Select to any standard
5.1/6.1/7.1 AV receiver to set up a 5.1 surround
system with an active subwoofer. If your AV re-
ceiver is 6.1/7.1, simply ignore the Rear Centre
Out(s). To make full use of a 6.1 AV receiver, you will
need to install an additional M 620 FCR speaker.
If you have a modern 7.1 AV receiver, you can expand
your System 6 THX Select with an EX 5.1>7.1 set
consisting of two additional M 620 FCR speakers
(see page 7) to create a full-blown 7.1 home theatre
surround system.
If you are using a 5.1 AV receiver, connect the
front, centre and rear speakers as shown in the
diagram. A 6.1/7.1 AV receiver additionally pro-
vides one or two Rear Centre Outs.
Connect the subwoofer output (Pre Out/Sub Out)
of your AV receiver to the right Line Input (R) of
the subwoofer using a mono RCA cable. In this set-
up, the left input (Line Input L) is not connected.
If you want to feed the Sub Out signal to both
of the subwoofer's inputs for an additional bass
boost, use a Y adapter (see Accessories, p. 7).
