3.1 System Requirements
To install and use the code generation tools, you need the items in the following
hardware and software checklists.
Hardware checklist
Host SPARCstation compatible system with a SPARCstation 2 class or
higher performance
Display Monochrome or color monitor (color recommended)
Disk space 4M bytes of disk space
Required hardware CD-ROM drive
Optional hardware Mouse
Software checklist
Operating system SunOS version 4.1.x (or higher) or SunOS version 5.x (also known
as Solaris 2.x) using an X Window System based window manag-
er, such as OpenWindows version 3.0 (or higher).
Root privileges If you are running SunOS 4.1.x, 5.0, or 5.1, you
must
have root privi-
leges to mount and unmount the CD-ROM. If you do not have root
privileges, get help from your system administrator.
