Bluetooth Thermometer User Manual
Introduction This Bluetooth Thermometer works with phones or mobile devices with iOS7+ or Android 4.3+. Before use, make sure the Bluetooth, alarm and notification functions are turned on. As this device is built with Bluetooth Smart technology, pairing is not needed. Download and install the Thermsmart app before getting started. The app is available at App Store and Google Play.
GETTING START Install Batteries Two pieces of AAA size 1.5V batteries are needed. Alkaline batteries will be recommended. The battery compartment is found at the back of the unit. (A screwdriver may be needed to open and close the battery door depending on the version you have.) When batteries are put in properly, the device will be turned on automatically and the LED light will be flashing for a few seconds. CAUTION RISK FOR EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE.
Turning On and Off the unit To turn on the unit, press the On/Off button on the front once. The LCD will be on and the LED will be flashing for a few second to confirm. To turn off, hold this buttonfor a few second. When the LCD display is off, release hold. Very rarely irregularity may be seen in function because of interference. Should this happen, close the app and open it again.
Register the unit Before a device can be viewed, it must be registered with the app first. Bluetooth of your phone must be turned on, and sensor probe should be connected with device before this 1. Choose High Temp on the Opening Page. 2. Choose the Register Button on the Device List Page.
3. Choose Add Button on the Register Page 4. Press Register Button of the device you want to view. If the registration is successful, the Registered Page will be returned.
Settings with Registered Page Below settings can be done on this page. Name a Device Pressing a device. will allow you to change the name of Unregister a Device If you do not want to view a device any more, press to remove it. Find a Device Pressing will turn on the LED light . This will help to locate it and tell if it is on.
Uses of Device List Page 9 8 (on iOS only) 3 1 4 5 6 7 2 1 Temperature Window where the readings are displayed. Touch it to enter the Setting Page to set Temperature Alarm and Timer. 2 If device and the phone are out of range, readings transmission will be paused until connection is restored. The Temperature Window at this time will turn gray without reading.
3 Press this to light up the LED to locate it. 4 Battery Capacity Status 5 Temperature Alarm Indicator to show if any temperature alert is turned on. 6 Bluetooth Connection Strength 7 Timer Start and Stop Buttons Register Button to register or unregister device.
Settings with Device Setting Page 8 7 (on iOS only) 6 9 3 1 2 4 5 Touching the Temperature Window will take you to this Device Setting Page. Following functions can be done Turn the Temperature Alarms On / Off Highest and Lowest Temperature Alarms are available. Press 11 or 22 to turn on or off. If both are turned on, it will become a Range Alarm. Set the Temperature Alarms Touch 33 to pop up the setting window for this. Set the Timer Touch 4 to pop up the setting window of timer.
Run the Alarm and Timer Press 7 to confirm all the settings. The Device List Page will be returned. The temperature alarm will run automatically with Alarm Indicator displayed. For Timer, press to start and to stop. If you want to abandon the settings, press 88 for iOS, or System's Back Button for Android. Please note if the temperature alarm is turned on, the device will become viewable only on the phone that turns on the alarm.
Uses of Preset Page Use the Preset Two sets of Preloaded and one set of Custom settings are available. To open the menu, touch the title and then choose the setting wanted. Delete a Custom Preset Only the settings under User Custom Preset can be deleted. To delete a setting, drag the setting to the left and then press the DELETE button for iOS. For Android, just hold the setting and then press Delete.
General Setting 1 Pressing the Setting Button on the Opening Page will take you to the General Setting Page. Followings can be done on this page. Change Temperature Unit Celsius and Fahrenheit can be interchanged by pressing 1 .
