User manual

displayed segment is on the left side the air pressure is low, while if it is on the right side, the air
pressure is high.
Trend arrow.
The trend arrow located directly below the analogue barometer reading indicates in which direction
the air pressure is going and how rapidly it is changing. If the left arrow is illuminated and has a
single dash after it, this indicates that pressure is falling moderately (the weather will worsen and
head towards low pressure). But if, for example, the right arrow is illuminated and has three dashes
after it, this indicates that pressure is rising rapidly (the weather will improve and head towards high
pressure). If no arrow is illuminated, the display only shows three dashes. This indicates that the
pressure is stable.
Weather forecast.
The weather forecast is indicated by graphic weather symbols. Since the instrument reckons the
weather forecast from the previous six hours, for the first six hours after start-up, the symbols will
show the current weather. After this the symbols will display the weather for the six hours ahead.
Note! The graphic weather symbols are often unreliable and only indicate the level at which the
pressure is likely to lie. A symbol may therefore, for example, display a sun and cloud even though
the sky is clear! On the other hand, it may be a good idea to take your raincoat with you even if the
symbol only indicates an overcast sky.
Current pressure.
The current air pressure is displayed accurately in mbar/hPa at the foot of the display. The pressure
may vary between 980 -1040 mbar/hPa. 980 mbar/hPa denotes very low pressure and 1040
mbar/hPa denotes very high pressure.
Operation and reading the display:
The maximum pressure of the previous 24 hours is displayed for 10 seconds by pressing the
“MAX” button (9). The maximum pressure of the previous 48 hours is displayed for 10 seconds by
pressing the “MAX” button (9) twice within a second. The corresponding analogue barometer
reading is also displayed. The minimum pressure of the previous 24 hours is displayed for 10
seconds by pressing the MIN” button (10). The minimum pressure of the previous 48 hours is
displayed for 10 seconds by pressing the “MIN” button (10) twice within a second. The
corresponding analogue barometer reading is also displayed.
When the MAX value of the previous 24 and 48 hours respectively is being displayed, an additional
press of the MODE button (8) will display the pressure trend within the corresponding period. First
to be shown is the pressure 1 hour ago, then 2 hours ago and all the way back to 24 or 48 hours
respectively. The corresponding segments are displayed on the analogue barometer reading,
allowing you to follow the development. One press of the “MODE” button (8) will immediately
take you back to the normal display.
Clearance of the MAX pressure may be made by holding down the “MAX” button for 3 seconds.
Clearance of the MIN pressure may be made by holding down the “MIN” button for 3 seconds. If
the values for MAX or MIN or both have been cleared, the development over the last 24 and 48
hours will be cleared also.
