User manual

Adjustment:
If required, it is possible to adjust the pressure to comply with a reference instrument or the like. For
example, if the display reads 1012 mbar/hPa, hold down the “MAX” button (9) and the MIN”
button (10) together for 5 seconds. The display numbers will start to flash and each press of “MAX”
or “MIN” will adjust the pressure up or down by 1 mbar/hPa respectively. It is possible to adjust the
pressure up or down up to a limit of 10 mbar/hPa. When you have reached the required value, press
“MODE” to confirm.
Maintenance / functional failure:
· If the screen displays the wrong figures: Reinstall the batteries.
· If the screen is blank: The batteries may be installed incorrectly. Check that they are positioned
as shown (+ and -). Otherwise change the batteries.
· If the incorrect pressure is displayed: This may be the result of tolerance on the sensors and may
be adjusted using the calibration function as described in the “Adjustment” section.
· If the display reads “ERR”: Check the altitude and/or pressure settings. If this fails, reinstall the
batteries.
Avoid damaging the barometer:
The following types of damage are not covered by the guarantee:
· A heavy impact may shatter the electronic components and damage the cabinet.
· Very high temperatures may melt/warp the cabinet and destroy the battery.
· Water in the instrument may short-circuit the electrical components and lead to permanent
damage.
· Chemicals, cleaning products, polishes and the like may dissolve or crack the instrument.
Therefore only clean the outside of the instrument with a cloth.
The manufacturer and distributors of the Rosted barometer are not liable for damage to objects or

nominated repair specialist.
The Rosted Barometer is an advanced electronic barometer which, in simple fashion, provides you
with wealth of information about the weather. It displays the current pressure in mbar/hPa, as well
as giving a current analogue barometer reading. It also displays pressure trends in the form of trend
arrows and a weather forecast using graphic symbols. Maximum and minimum pressures are stored
in the memory. The barometer shows the trend on an hour by hour basis over the previous 24 or 48
hours. A detailed user-guide is included and the instrument is simple to use and adjust.
The barometer requires 2 1.5 V batteries, AA / UM-3 / R6 (included).
Features:
· Displays current pressure from 980 -1040 mbar/hPa
· Provides an analogue barometer reading
· Trend arrows indicate falling and rising pressure
· Provides a weather forecast
· Displays trends over 24 and 48 hours on an hourly basis
· Maximum and minimum pressures are stored in the memory (48 hours)
