Installing the Below Deck Unit
The VesseLINK
™
Below Deck Unit is designed for ease of installation with four corner
mounting locations for direct mounting. Figure 2-11 and Table 2-3 show the Thales BDU
mounting kit with part number 1100789-501.
NOTE
It is strongly recommended that the BDU be grounded to vessel
ground or earth ground for added protection against surges and
static discharge. Use a 14 AWG or larger ground wire (user
provided) to connect the BDU’s ground lug (see Figure 1-5) to
vessel/earth ground.
