BEFORE STARTING

Read instructions carefully.

Determine the proper height for the rod by taking into consideration how the panel will drape and

where brackets should be installed.

IMPORTANT

To ensure years of enjoyment and safety, hardware brackets should be attached to wood, Window

Frame or Wall Board.

When an attempt is made to install brackets into WALL BOARD without a stud [for light weight fabrics

or sheers only] it is absolutely necessary to use both screws with anchors for each bracket

installation.

Improper installation or misuse can cause draperies to fall causing potential danger.

First, Decide Where You're Going to Hang The Treatment.

Common installations for window treatments are:

1) Above the window on the wall. The brackets should be installed within the 2" space

around and above the window frame

2) To make windows appear larger and allow more light into the room, mount the rod above

the trim and allow the rod width to extend beyond the actual width of the window by 3” to 10”

3) On the wood window frame

4) Café curtains usually hang halfway down the window frame.

Drapery finials will add approximately 3 to 6 inches to your overall treatment width.

Measuring Guide for Classic Home & The Artifactory Drapery Hardware Measuring for the Height of Your Draperies To determine the vertical height for mounting the brackets, you need to decide if the bottom of the draperies should fall at the window sill, below the sill, fall to the floor or puddle on the floor. The top of the draperies should be approximately 4” above the glass so the back of the pleats will not be visible from outside the window.
