RINGS! WHAT SIZE? HOW MANY? METAL OR WOOD?
RINGS WITH FIXED EYLETS ARE POPULAR AND EASY TO INSTALL
The fixed eyelet rings can be sewn directly onto the draperies; and SIMPLY slid onto
the pole or rod.
RINGS WITH CLIPS NEED NO SEWING
The clip rings can be placed on the pole or rod before attaching the draperies.
As a general rule it is 7 RINGS per 50” panel.
As a general reference, a POLE is wood and a ROD is metal.
Metal rings are used on both metal and wood installations; however, wood rings are
rarely used for a metal installations.
Rings should have a larger inside diameter (ID) than the pole or rod being installed
The package will indicate which pole size the rings are designed
A 1” or 1 3/8” pole/rod will fit a wood or metal set of rings with an inside diameter
(ID) of 1 ½”
A 2” or 2 ¼” pole/rod will fit a wood or metal set of rings with an inside diameter
(ID) of 2 ¾”
The distance between each ring can vary greatly; any distance for 4” to 9” can be
used. The variables come from the design of the draperies and the weight of the
fabric.
