Installation 4 Installation Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively. Create all connections while the device is off. Use the shortest possible high-quality cables for all connections.
Installation NOTICE! Possible property damage by magnetic fields Loudspeakers produce a static magnetic field. Therefore, maintain an appropriate distance to devices that can be adversely affected or damaged by an external magnetic field.
Installation 4.1 Tips on handling speakers We recommend you to set up the speakers in a way, that the sound signals can reach the audi‐ ence unobstructedly. It will often be helpful to mount the speakers on tripods. Thus, the sound will be evenly spread with maximum range throughout the audience area. Always use high grade cable to connect your equipment. Otherwise you won't reach max‐ imum sound quality.
Installation 4.2 Terminals for wiring ‘Bass to 1’ In order to use the terminals for wiring ‘Bass to 1’, turn the cover of the connector panel so that the notches are in horizontal position.
Installation With this wiring option, you can connect the bass directly using a two-wire cable (wires 1+/1–). If you are using four-wire cables, you can use heads that receive their signal via wires 2+/ 2– and loop wires 1+/ 1– through. The bass is connected to wires 1+/1– and loops wires 2+/ 2– through. The order in which the speakers are wired doesn't matter. Never fall below the min‐ imum load impedance, though.
Installation 4.3 Connecting to the Achat system In order to use the terminals for the Achat system wiring, turn the cover of the connector panel so that the notches are in vertical position.
Installation These terminals allow for easy wiring with four-wire cables, as the heads get their signal via wires 1+/ 1– and loop wires 2+/ 2– through; the bass is connected to wires 2+/2– and loops wires 1+/ 1– through. The order in which the speakers are wired doesn't matter. Never fall below the minimum load impedance, though.
