Remove old sink strainer putty. Apply an ample bead of new plumbers putty around the top of the sink drain hole. Place strainer body in sink opening and press down to secure into position. From beneath sink, slip rubber and fiber washers over strainer body. Thread locking nut onto strainer body; tighten with wrench. Slide slip nut onto flange tailpiece. Place tailpiece washer on top of tailpiece and position under sink strainer. Tighten ship nut with wrench; do not over tighten.
