500DSP Programme update procedure
1, If you select the Serial Port (USB Port), please install the USB driver:
PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1.8.0.exe
Then follow below steps to setup the COM Port.
2, Connect the computer to the equipment with a USB data cable.
3, Open the DSP218 Firmware Update programme software, as shown below.
4, Select ‘Baud rate’, the default value is 57600.
5, Select the COM port number, access to computer port number as follows:
Note: View the port number in the Computer’s “Device Management”
6, Click ‘Connect’, the status light turns green.
7, Click ‘Firmware Browser’, select the .bin file which is needed to update, as shown below:
8, Select ‘Normal Program’ in Update Progress.
Note: The Bad Rom Program can only be selected if the Select Bad Rom Programme appears on the
device display.
9, Click ‘Start Programming’ to update.
10, During the update process, the progress bar will show the progress. When the update is finished, the
bar shows ‘100 %’.
11, After the completion of the update, wait for the device to automatically restart. In the device’s
automatic restart process, it can’t either be powered down nor is any key operation possible.
