Grout: creative opportunity? In designing a tiled surface, it’s quite amazing how much a seemingly minor element such as grout can affect the final result, from both a technical and aesthetic perspective. This is especially evident in mosaic surfaces whose final appearance may have aesthetic effects that are completely different depending on the grouting finish chosen.

New life for tiling: the restoration of cement joints Over time cementitious grouting deteriorates causing functional and colour variations. The cementitious absorbency of the grout makes it difficult to clean, affecting the hygiene of tiled surfaces. Starlike® enables old cement grouts to be restored quickly and definitively, with little expense, revitalising tiling.
Steps of Restoration 1 2 3 4 Remove the old grout with the grout rake (Art. 925G) for at least 2 mm of thickness, taking care of cleaning the tiles sides. To remove the residues of dust. Apply Starlike® using the special green rubber trowel (Art.946GR) filling completely the grouts. Perform an initial cleaning using the trowel equipped with moistened white feltt (Art.109/G). The surface grouting finish should be carried out using sponge in sweepex (Art. 128/G) and water.
