USEFUL TIPS
Allow 10 to 30 minutes, depending upon the size of the area, for
product to take effect. This product works well in outdoor areas
where there is minimal air movement, such as decks, unenclosed
porches, patios and yards. Product may be used for outdoor
camping. Use one lantern per each 225 square feet/~21m² (an area
15’ x 15’ or 4.6 x 4.6 Meter) or 15’/4.6 Meter in diameter. Lantern
provides light and protects against mosquitoes, black flies, flying
insects and bugs. Batteries power the light; heat from the
Thermacell cartridge activates the mat and provides mosquito
protection for up to four hours (up to 12 hours when using L4
long-life mats).
USE RESTRICTIONS
Only for outdoor use as an insect protection. Do not use indoors, in
tents or in any enclosed area. Do not insert anything other than
Thermacell
®
mats into the device. Cover or remove all exposed
food. Do not leave device unattended or use in windy conditions. Do
not expose devices or mats to rain. Place device on a flat, stable
surface with the grill facing upward. Clean with a damp cloth only
when the device is cool and inactive. Butane cartridges other than
Thermacell
®
cartridges will not work in this device.

CONSIGLI UTILI

NÜTZLICHE TIPPS
Für beste Resultate, abhängig von der zu schützenden Fläche, 10
bis 30 Minuten einschalten bis das Produkt seine volle Wirkung
entfaltet. Dieses Produkt funktioniert bestens im Freien, bei keiner
bis geringer Luftbewegung, sowie in Veranden, Innenhöfen, Gärten
und Höfen. Bei Luftbewegung sicherstellen, dass man vom
verdampften Wirkstoff angeströmt wird. Ein Gerät auf einer Fläche
von ~21 m² (Fläche 4,6 x 4,6 Meter) oder 4,6 Meter im Durchmesser
nutzen. Auf größeren Flächen mehrere Geräte nutzen! Das Gerät
liefert Licht und vertreibt Stechmücken, Kriebelmücken und
andere Fluginsekten. Batterien speisen die LED Beleuchtung; Hitze
von der Thermacell Butangaspatrone aktiviert das
Wirkstoffplättchen und bietet Insektenschutz für bis zu 4 Stunden
(bis zu 12 Stunden bei der Verwendung der L4 long-life
Wirkstoffplättchen).
NUTZUNGSBESCHRÄNKUNG

CONSEILS UTILES
Laisser agir le produit pendant 10 à 30 minutes, selon la taille de

camping sauvage. Utiliser une lanterne par tranche de 225 pieds

mètres de diamètre. La lanterne fournit de la lumière et protège

STEP A Batteriedeckel am Boden des Gerätes öffnen. 3
AAA-Batterien polrichtig einlegen und Batteriedeckel schließen.
Die Batterien speisen 3 LED´s und liefern Licht für maximal 50
Stunden.
STEP B Um das LED-Licht einzuschalten den schwarzen
Schiebeschalter im Boden der Laterne auf "ON" stellen . Falls das
Licht sich nicht einschaltet, Batterien austauschen. Wenn kein
Licht mehr gewünscht ist, Schalter wieder in die "OFF"-Position
schieben.
STEP 1A Wirkstoffplättchen auspacken . Ein Wirkstoffplättchen
reicht für max. 4 Stunden (bis zu 12 Stunden bei der Verwendung
der L4 long-life Wirkstoffplättchen). Wenn der Wirkstoff verdampft
ist, verfärbt sich das Plättchen von blau nach weiss.
STEP 1B Wirkstoffplättchen unter den Grill am Oberteil der
Laterne einschieben.
STEP 2 Butangaspatronenabdeckung entfernen und
Butangaspatrone durch die Öffnung am Boden des Gerätes im
Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Anschlag handfest einschrauben.
STEP 3 Zum Aktivieren der Stechmückenschutzfunktion den
Schaltring am Oberteil des Gerätes nach rechts in Stellung "ON"
drehen. Das Gas beginnt auszuströmen.
STEP 4 Cirka 5-10 Sekunden abwarten und dann den Schaltring
weiter nach rechts in Stellung "START" drehen. Es ist ein Klicken
zu hören.
STEP 5 Zur Kontrolle, ob die Schutzfunktion eingeschaltet ist,
durch die ovale Öffnung rechts von der Markierung "START" sehen.
Es ist ein oranges Glimmen zu sehen. Wenn kein oranges Glimmen
zu sehen ist, den Startring mehrmals hintereinander zwischen
Stellung "ON" und Stellung "START" drehen.
STEP 6 Sollte immer noch kein oranges Glimmen zu sehen sein,
überprüfen ob die Butangaspatrone richtig eingeschraubt ist. Auch
den Füllstand der Patrone prüfen. Bei leerer oder annähernd
leerer Patrone, diese gegen eine neue, volle Thermacell
Butangaspatrone austauschen. Danach Schritte 4 - 6 wiederholen.
STEP 7 Das Gitter während des Betriebs nicht berühren − es
wird heiss. Während des Betriebs steigt leichter Rauch vom
Plättchen empor. Das ist normal. Wird Gerät nicht mehr benötigt,
den Schaltring bis zum Anschlag nach links drehen, bis der Zeiger
auf "OFF" steht. Vor der Lagerung vollständig abkühlen lassen.
STEP 8 Um ein verbrauchtes Wirkstoffplättchen auszutauschen,
sicherstellen dass der Zeiger auf "OFF" steht und Gitter abkühlen
lassen. Das verbrauchte Wirkstoffplättchen durch einschieben
eines neuen Plättchens tauschen.

STEP A Remove battery cover on the bottom of the lantern. Install
3 AAA-size batteries . Replace battery cover. The batteries power 3
LED lights and will provide lantern light for a maximum of 50 hours.
STEP B To turn lantern light on, push, the black switch on the
bottom of the lantern to the “ON” position . If lantern light does not
turn on, replace batteries. When finished using the light, push the
switch to the “OFF” position.
STEP 1A Remove one Thermacell® Mosquito Repellent mat from
wrapper . Mats last a maximum of 4 hours (up to 12 hours when
using L4 long-life mats). Mat turns from pale blue to white when
repellent has been exhausted.
STEP 1B Insert the mat under the grill at the top of the lantern.
STEP 2 Remove the butane cartridge cap and screw the cartridge
into the opening on the bottom of the device by turning the
cartridge clockwise until it stops. Make sure the cartridge is fully
inserted.
STEP 3 To activate the mosquito protection, grasp the lantern
collar and rotate collar to the right until the indicator line points to
“ON”. The gas will begin to flow.
STEP 4 Wait approximately 5 to 10 seconds then rotate lantern
collar further to the right until the indicator line points to “START”.
You should hear a clicking noise.
STEP 5 To verify that the mosquito protection is activated look at
the oval view hole located on the lantern collar to the right of the
“START” button. An orange light will glow. If there is no orange
light, rotate indicator line back to the “ON” position and repeat
rotation to the “START” position two to three times in rapid
succession.
STEP 6 If there is still no orange light visible in the view hole,
make sure the cartridge is completely screwed into place. Also
check the amount of fuel in the cartridge. If cartridge is empty or
near empty, remove cartridge and replace with a new Thermacell®
cartridge. Then repeat steps 4 - 6.
STEP 7 Do not touch the grill; it will be hot after a few minutes.
Some visible vapor will appear during use. This is normal. When
finished using the device, rotate the collar to the left until the line
points to “OFF”. Allow device to cool completely before storing.
STEP 8 To replace a used mat, make sure line is in the “OFF”
position and allow black device grill to cool. Push the used mat out
by inserting a fresh mat.

STEP A Rimuovere il coperchio del vano della batteria dal fondo
della lanterna. Installare 3 batterie di formato AAA . Riposizionare il
coperchio del vano della batteria. Le batterie alimentano 3 luci LED
e consentono alla lanterna di illuminare per un massimo di 50 ore.
STEP B Per accendere la luce della lanterna, premere
l’interruttore nero sul fondo della lanterna portandolo in posizione
“ON” . Se la lanterna non si accende, sostituire le batterie. Una volta
finito di utilizzare la luce, premere l’interruttore portandolo in
posizione “OFF”.
STEP 1A Togliere una piastrina di Repellente Anti-Zanzare
Thermacell® dall’involucro . Le piastrine durano un massimo di 4
ore (fino a 12 ore quando si utilizzano le piastrine L4 a lunga
durata). La piastrina cambia colore passando da blu pallido a
bianco quando il repellente è esaurito.
STEP 1B Inserire la piastrina sotto la griglia nella parte superiore
della lanterna.
STEP 2 Rimuovere il tappo della bombola di gas butano e avvitare
la bombola nell’apertura sul fondo del dispositivo ruotandola in
senso orario fino all’arresto. Assicurarsi che la bombola sia
completamente inserita.
STEP 3 Per attivare la protezione anti-zanzare, afferrare il collo
della lanterna e ruotarlo verso destra fino a quando la linea
dell’indicatore non punta su “ON”. Il gas inizierà a fluire.
STEP 4 Attendere circa 5-10 secondi, poi ruotare il collo della
lanterna ulteriormente verso destra fino a quando la linea
dell’indicatore non punta su “START”. Si dovrebbe udire un clic.
STEP 5 Per verificare che la protezione anti-zanzare sia attivata,
guardare il foro di osservazione ovale posizionato sul collo della
lanterna a destra del pulsante “START”. Una luce arancione è
accesa. Se non vi è alcuna luce arancione, riportare la linea
dell’indicatore in posizione “ON” e ruotarla nuovamente verso la
posizione “START” da due a tre volte in rapida successione.
STEP 6 Se la luce arancione continua a non essere visibile nel
foro di osservazione, assicurarsi che la bombola sia
completamente avvitata in posizione. Controllare, inoltre, la
quantità di carburante nella bombola. Se la bombola è vuota o
quasi vuota, rimuoverla e sostituirla con una nuova bombola
Thermacell®. Poi ripetere i passaggi 4-6.
STEP 7 Non toccare la griglia; sarà calda dopo pochi minuti.
Durante l'uso sarà visibile del vapore. Questo è normale. Una volta
finito di utilizzare il dispositivo, ruotare il collo verso sinistra fino a
quando la linea non punta su “OFF”. Lasciare raffreddare il
dispositivo completamente prima di riporlo.
STEP 8 Per sostituire una piastrina usata, assicurarsi che la linea
dell’indicatore sia in posizione “OFF” e lasciare raffreddare la

STEP A Retirer le couvercle des piles en bas de la lanterne.
Installer 3 piles de taille AAA . Replacer le couvercle des piles. Les
piles alimentent 3 lampes LED qui permettront à la lanterne
d'éclairer pendant un maximum de 50 heures.
STEP B Pour allumer la lanterne, pousser le commutateur noir
situé sur la partie inférieure de la lanterne sur la position « ON » . Si
la lanterne ne s’allume pas, remplacer les piles. Après utilisation de
la lampe, repousser le commutateur sur la position « OFF ».
STEP 1A Retirer une plaquette répulsive anti-moustique
Thermacell® de son emballage. Les plaquettes durent au maximum
4 heures (12 heures avec les plaquettes L4 longue durée). Les
plaquettes passent du bleu clair au blanc une fois que le répulsif est
épuisé.
STEP 1B Insérer la plaquette sous la grille au sommet de la
lanterne.
STEP 2 Retirer le bouchon de la cartouche de butane et visser la
cartouche dans l’ouverture sur la partie inférieure du dispositif en
tournant la cartouche dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce qu’elle
s’arrête. S’assurer que la cartouche est complètement insérée.
STEP 3 Pour activer la protection anti-moustiques, saisir la
collerette de la lanterne et la faire tourner vers la droite jusqu’à ce
que la ligne indicatrice pointe sur « ON ». Le gaz se mettra à
s’écouler.
STEP 4 Attendre environ 5 à 10 secondes puis continuer de faire
tourner la collerette de la lanterne vers la droite jusqu’à ce que la
ligne indicatrice pointe sur « START » (DÉMARRER). Il faut entendre
un cliquètement.
STEP 5 Pour vérifier que la protection anti-moustiques est activée,
regarder le trou de vision ovale situé sur la collerette de la lanterne
à droite du bouton « START ». Un témoin orange s’allumera . S’il n’y
a pas de témoin orange, repointer la ligne indicatrice sur la position
« ON » et renouveler la rotation vers la position « START » deux ou
trois fois dans un court intervalle de temps.
STEP 6 Si l’on ne voit toujours pas de témoin orange dans le trou
de vision, s’assurer que la cartouche est complètement vissée en
place. Vérifier aussi la quantité de combustible dans la cartouche. Si
la cartouche est vide ou presque vide, la retirer et la remplacer par
une cartouche Thermacell® neuve. Puis répéter les étapes 4 à 6.
STEP 7 Ne pas toucher la grille ; elle sera très chaude au bout de
quelques minutes. De la vapeur apparaîtra de façon visible pendant
l’utilisation. C’est normal. Après utilisation du dispositif, faire tourner
la collerette de la lanterne vers la gauche jusqu’à ce que la ligne
indicatrice soit en position « OFF ». Laisser le dispositif refroidir
complètement avant de le ranger.
STEP 8 Pour remplacer une plaquette usée, s’assurer que la ligne
indicatrice est sur la position « OFF » et laisser la grille noire du
dispositif refroidir. Faire sortir la plaquette usée en en insérant une
neuve.
