USEFUL TIPS
Allow 10 to 30 minutes, depending upon the size of the area, for
product to take effect. This product works well in outdoor areas
where there is minimal air movement, such as decks, unenclosed
porches, patios and yards. Product may be used for outdoor
camping. Use one lantern per each 225 square feet/~21m² (an area
15’ x 15’ or 4.6 x 4.6 Meter) or 15’/4.6 Meter in diameter. Lantern
provides light and protects against mosquitoes, black flies, flying
insects and bugs. Batteries power the light; heat from the
Thermacell cartridge activates the mat and provides mosquito
protection for up to four hours (up to 12 hours when using L4
long-life mats).
USE RESTRICTIONS
Only for outdoor use as an insect protection. Do not use indoors, in
tents or in any enclosed area. Do not insert anything other than
Thermacell
®
mats into the device. Cover or remove all exposed
food. Do not leave device unattended or use in windy conditions. Do
not expose devices or mats to rain. Place device on a flat, stable
surface with the grill facing upward. Clean with a damp cloth only
when the device is cool and inactive. Butane cartridges other than
Thermacell
®
cartridges will not work in this device.

NÜTZLICHE TIPPS
Für beste Resultate, abhängig von der zu schützenden Fläche, 10
bis 30 Minuten einschalten bis das Produkt seine volle Wirkung
entfaltet. Dieses Produkt funktioniert bestens im Freien, bei keiner
bis geringer Luftbewegung, sowie in Veranden, Innenhöfen, Gärten
und Höfen. Bei Luftbewegung sicherstellen, dass man vom
verdampften Wirkstoff angeströmt wird. Ein Gerät auf einer Fläche
von ~21 m² (Fläche 4,6 x 4,6 Meter) oder 4,6 Meter im Durchmesser
nutzen. Auf größeren Flächen mehrere Geräte nutzen! Das Gerät
liefert Licht und vertreibt Stechmücken, Kriebelmücken und
andere Fluginsekten. Batterien speisen die LED Beleuchtung; Hitze
von der Thermacell Butangaspatrone aktiviert das
Wirkstoffplättchen und bietet Insektenschutz für bis zu 4 Stunden
(bis zu 12 Stunden bei der Verwendung der L4 long-life
Wirkstoffplättchen).
NUTZUNGSBESCHRÄNKUNG
Nur für Anwendung im Freien als Insektenschutz. Nicht im
Rauminneren, in Zelten oder geschlossenen Räumen verwenden.

nach oben ausrichten. Zum Reinigen des abgekühlten und
ausgeschalteten Geräts ein feuchtes Tuch verwenden. Andere

funktionieren nicht in dem Gerät.
STEP 1 Thermacell
®
Wirkstoffplättchen auspacken. Ein
Wirkstoffplättchen reicht für max. 4 Stunden (bis zu 12 Stunden bei
der Verwendung der L4 long-life Wirkstoffplättchen). Wenn der
Wikstoff verdampft ist, verfärbt sich das Plättchen von blau nach
weiss.
STEP 2 Sicherstellen, dass der Drehschalter am linken Anschlag
auf "OFF" steht. Wirkstoffplättchen unter den schwarzen
Kunststoffgrill einschieben. Um verbrauchte Wirkstoffplättchen
auszutauschen, Das Gerät abschalten und abkühlen lassen und
danach das verbrauchte Plättchen mit einem neuen Plättchen
unter dem Grill herausschieben.
STEP 3 Gerätedeckel und Butangascartridgekappe abnehmen.
STEP 4 Butangascartridge in die Öffnung einschieben und
handfest im Uhrzeigersinn einschrauben. Gerätedeckel wieder
aufsetzen. Falls das Gerät nicht heizt, könnte das Butangas
verbraucht sein. Den Füllstand können sie überprüfen indem sie
das Gerät senkrecht aufrichten und durch den Schlitz auf der
Geräterückseite den Füllstand der Butangascartridge ablesen.
Falls Füllstand zu niedrig die Butangascartridge gegen eine neue
Cartridge austauschen.
STEP 5 Zum Aktivieren der Stechmückenschutzfunktion den
Drehschalter nach rechts in Stellung "ON" drehen (F). Das Gas
beginnt auszuströmen.
STEP 6 Cirka 5-10 Sekunden abwarten und dann den Startknopf
mehrmals hintereinander schnell drücken. Es ist ein Klicken zu
hören.
STEP 7 Zur Kontrolle, ob die Schutzfunktion eingeschaltet ist,
durch die ovale Öffnung an der Oberseite sehen. Es ist ein oranges
Glimmen zu sehen (G). Wenn kein oranges Glimmen zu sehen ist,
überprüfen ob der Drehschalter auf "ON" steht, die
Butangaspatrone ausreichenden Füllstand hat und vollständig
eingeschraubt ist. Dann nochmals mehrmals hintereinander den
Startknopf drücken und überprüfen, ob nun ein orangefarbenes
Glimmen in der Kontrollöffnung zu sehen ist.
STEP 8 Das Gitter während des Betriebs nicht berühren-es wird
heiss. Während des Betriebs steigt leichter Rauch vom Plättchen
empor. Das ist normal. Wird Gerät nicht mehr benötigt, den
Drehschalter bis zum Anschlag nach links drehen, bis der Zeiger
auf "OFF" steht. Vor der Lagerung vollständig abkühlen lassen.

CONSEILS UTILES
Laisser agir le produit pendant 10 à 30 minutes, selon la taille de

STEP 1 Remove one Thermacell
®
Mosquito Repellent mat from
wrapper. Mats last a maximum of 4 hours (up to 12 hours when
using L4 long-life mats). Mat turns from pale blue to white when
repellent has been exhausted.
STEP 2 Make sure the ‘ON/OFF’ switch on the appliance is in the
‘OFF’ position. Insert the mat under the appliance’s black grill. To
change mats, turn the ‘ON/OFF’ switch to ‘OFF’ and allow the
appliance to cool completely. Push the used mat out by inserting a
fresh one.
STEP 3 Remove the appliance cover and butane cartridge cap.
STEP 4 Screw the cartridge into the opening of the appliance.
Make sure the cartridge is fully inserted by turning it clockwise
until it stops. Replace the appliance cover. If your appliance fails to
heat, it may be out of fuel. Check the fuel level by holding the
appliance vertically and looking at the fuel gauge on the bottom.
You can see the amount of butane in the cartridge. Replace if
empty.
STEP 5 Turn the ‘ON/OFF’ switch to the ‘ON’ position; the butane
gas will begin to flow.
STEP 6 Wait approximately 5 to 10 seconds then depress the start
button three to five times in rapid succession.
STEP 7 To verify the appliance is operating, pick it up and check
the lens on the end of the appliance. The light at the end of the
appliance glows when the appliance is heating. If the light is not
glowing, check to make sure the appliance is ‘ON’ and cartridge is
completely screwed into place; then once again depress the start
button three to five times in rapid succession. Check to make sure
the light is glowing.
STEP 8 Do not touch the grill; it will be hot after a few minutes.
Some visible vapor will appear during use. This is normal. When
finished using the appliance, turn the ‘ON/OFF’ switch to the ‘OFF’
position, and allow the appliance to cool completely. Appliance is
now ready for storage.

maximum 4 heures (12 heures avec les plaquettes L4 longue
durée). Les plaquettes passent du bleu clair au blanc une fois que
le répulsif est épuisé.
STEP 2 S’assurer que le commutateur « ON/OFF »
(MARCHE/ARRÊT) de l’appareil est en position « OFF » (ARRÊT).
Insérer la plaquette sous la grille noire de l’appareil. Pour
remplacer les plaquettes, tourner le commutateur « ON/OFF » sur
la position « OFF » et laisser l’appareil refroidir complètement.
Faire sortir la plaquette usée en en insérant une neuve.
STEP 3 Retirer le couvercle de l’appareil et le bouchon de la
cartouche de butane.
STEP 4 Visser la cartouche dans l’ouverture de l’appareil.
S’assurer que la cartouche est complètement insérée en la
tournant dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce qu’elle s’arrête.
Remplacer le couvercle de l’appareil. Si l’appareil ne chauffe pas,
il peut être à court de combustible. Vérifier le niveau de
combustible en tenant l’appareil verticalement et en examinant la
jauge de combustible en bas. On peut voir la quantité de butane
dans la cartouche. Remplacer si elle est vide.
STEP 5 Tourner le commutateur « ON/OFF » sur la position « ON
» ; le gaz butane se mettra à s’écouler.
STEP 6 Attendre environ 5 à 10 secondes puis appuyer sur le
bouton «START » trois à cinq fois dans un court intervalle de
temps.
STEP 7 Pour vérifier le fonctionnement de l’appareil, le soulever
et vérifier la lentille à l’extrémité de l’appareil. Le témoin à
l’extrémité de l’appareil s’allume lorsque l’appareil chauffe. Si le
témoin ne s’allume pas, vérifier que l’appareil est « ON » et que la
cartouche est complètement vissée en place ; appuyer ensuite à
nouveau sur le bouton « Start » trois à cinq fois dans un court
intervalle de temps. Vérifier que le témoin s’allume.
STEP 8 Ne pas toucher la grille ; elle sera très chaude au bout de
quelques minutes. De la vapeur apparaîtra de façon visible pendant
l’utilisation. C’est normal. Après utilisation de l’appareil, tourner le
commutateur « ON/OFF » sur la position « OFF », et laisser
l’appareil refroidir complètement. L’appareil peut alors être rangé.

bianco quando il repellente è esaurito.
STEP 2 Assicurarsi che l’interruttore ‘ON/OFF’ sull’apparecchio
sia in posizione ‘OFF’. Inserire la piastrina sotto la griglia nera
dell’apparecchio. Per sostituire le piastrine, portare l’interruttore
‘ON/OFF’ su ‘OFF’ e lasciare raffreddare l’apparecchio
completamente. Estrarre la piastrina usata inserendone una
nuova.
STEP 3 Rimuovere il coperchio dell’apparecchio e il tappo della
bombola di gas butano.
STEP 4 Avvitare la bombola nell’apertura dell’apparecchio.
Assicurarsi che la bombola sia completamente inserita ruotandola
in senso orario fino all’arresto. Riposizionare il coperchio
dell’apparecchio. Se l’apparecchio non riscalda, il carburante
potrebbe essere esaurito. Controllare il livello del carburante
tenendo l’apparecchio in verticale e osservando l’indicatore sul
fondo. Si può vedere la quantità di gas butano nella bombola.
Sostituire se vuota.
STEP 5 Portare l’interruttore ‘ON/OFF’ in posizione ‘ON’; il gas
butano inizierà a fluire.
STEP 6 Attendere circa 5-10 secondi, poi premere il pulsante di
avvio da tre a cinque volte in rapida successione.
STEP 7 Per verificare che l’apparecchio funzioni, sollevarlo e
controllare la lente all’estremità. Quando l'apparecchio sta
riscaldando, la luce all’estremità dell’apparecchio è accesa. Se la
luce non è accesa, assicurarsi che l’apparecchio sia impostato su
‘ON’ e che la bombola sia completamente avvitata in posizione; poi
premere nuovamente il pulsante di avvio da tre a cinque volte in
rapida successione. Assicurarsi che la luce sia accesa.
STEP 8 Non toccare la griglia; sarà calda dopo pochi minuti.
Durante l'uso sarà visibile del vapore. Questo è normale. Una volta
terminato di utilizzare l’apparecchio, portare l’interruttore
‘ON/OFF’ in posizione ‘OFF’ e lasciare raffreddare l’apparecchio
completamente. È ora possibile riporre l’apparecchio.
