- to reduce the risk of a grease fire:
- a. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.
- b. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat.
- c. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
- d. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.

- pour réduire les risques de feux de graisse :
- a. Ne laissez jamais la surface de cuisson sans surveillance à des températures élevées. Les débordements causent de la fumée et les résidus graisseux peuvent s'enflammer.. Faites chauffer les huiles lentement à feu doux ou moyen.
- b. Faites toujours fonctionner la hotte lorsque vous cuisinez à feu vif.
- c. Nettoyez les ventilateurs régulièrement. Ne laissez pas la graisse s'accumuler sur le ventilateur ou sur le filtre.

- 1. Sélectionnez l'élément souhaité et le niveau de puissance.
- 2. Touchez la touche TIMER (Minuterie). Les indicateurs x et min s'allument et la valeur de minuterie ‹‹ est indiquée dans l'écran de minuterie.
- 3. Dans les 10 secondes qui suivent, réglez le temps de cuisson souhaité avec les touches numérotées.

- 1. Allumez la table de cuisson avec l'interrupteur principal.
- 2. Dans les 10 secondes qui suivent, touchez TIMER (Minuterie) pendant 4 secondes.
- 3. Touchez TIMER (Minuterie) jusqu'à ce que l'indicateur souhaité apparaisse sur l'écran de gauche.
- 4. Sélectionnez le réglage requis au moyen des touches numérotées.
- 5. Touchez de nouveau TIMER (Minuterie) pendant 4 secondes. Le réglage est activé.

- para reducir el riesgo de incendio ocasionado por grasa:
- a. Nunca deje las unidades de la superficie sin vigilancia en valores altos. Los derrames por hervor producen humos y salpicaduras grasosas que pueden prenderse fuego. Caliente los aceites despacio a temperaturas bajas o medianas.
- b. Siempre encienda la campana al cocinar a una temperatura alta.
- c. Limpie los ventiladores extractores con frecuencia. No se debe permitir la acumulación de la grasa en el ventilador ni en el filtro.
- d. Use el tamaño de cacerola adecuado. Siempre use utensilios de cocina apropiados para el tamaño del elemento de la superficie.

- Programación del tiempo de cocción
- 1. Seleccionar el elemento y el nivel de temperatura deseados.
- 2. Pulsar la tecla TIMER (Temporizador). Los indicadores x y min se encienden y el valor del temporizador ‹‹ se muestra en la pantalla del temporizador.
- 3. En los 10 segundos siguientes, programar el tiempo de cocción deseado con las teclas numéricas.

- 2. En el lapso de los 10 segundos siguientes, pulse la tecla TIMER durante 4 segundos.
- 3. Pulsar la tecla TIMER hasta que aparezca el indicador deseado en el display de la izquierda.
- 4. Seleccionar el ajuste deseado con las teclas numéricas.
- 5. Vuelva a pulsar la tecla TIMER durante 4 segundos. El ajuste está activado.

Heating elements
Residual heat indicator
The cooktop is equipped with a residual heat indicator
for each element. It shows you which elements are still
hot. Avoid touching the indicated elements.
If an • is shown on the display, the element is still hot.
You could use it, for example, to keep a small quantity of
food warm or to melt a chocolate coating. As the element
continues to cool, the display changes to œ. The display
goes out once the element has cooled sufficiently.
The residual heat indicator will automatically come on
after a power failure. The display lights up for
approximately 30 minutes.
Elements Turning on and off

Single element Single elements have only one size cooking surface.
Activate: Touch the
$ key.
The sizes of these elements can be matched to your pan size:

Dual element
▯ Use outer heating ring: Select the element. The ð indicator turns on. The inner and outer
heating rings are active.
▯ Use inner heating ring: Touch the ö touch key. The ð indicator turns off. The inner heat-
ing ring remains on.
ò
Triple element
▯ Use outer heating ring: Select the element. The ò indicator turns on. All three heating
rings are active.
▯ Use middle heating ring: Touch the ò touch key once. The ò indicator turns off and the
ð indicator turns on. The inner and middle heating rings are active.
▯ Use inner heating ring: Touch the ò touch key again. The ð indicator turns off. The inner
heating ring remains on.

Bridge element The bridge element combines two individual heating elements into one long griddle zone.
This configuration is ideal for griddles and large pans.
Note: Do not use cookware larger than 17" x 10" (432x 254mm).
One of the two elements that belong to the Bridge element has to be selected.
▯ Activate: Touch the JOIN I SPLIT key. The à indicator appears; ‹ appears in both heating
element displays. Set the desired heat setting.
If a heat level was set on one of the elements before, this heat level will be used for the
bridge element. If two different heat levels were set on the two elements before, the bridge
element will use heat level ‹.
▯ Change heat level: Select one of the two elements that belong to the bridge element and
set the new heat level.
▯ Deactivate: Touch the JOIN I SPLIT key. ‹ appears in both displays. The front heating ele-
ment remains selected. Setting the heat level to ‹ does not split the bridge element.
Always use cookware of a suitable size.
