As soon as a new heating mode is started, the preheating
bar appears on the display. The preheating bar indicates
the temperature increase in the oven cavity. When the
oven is fully preheated, a signal tone sounds.
7.9 Fast preheat
With this function you can shorten the time the oven needs
to reach the set temperature.
Fast preheat is available for the following heating modes:
¡ "True Convection"
¡ "Convection Bake"
¡ "Bake"
¡ "Roast"
¡ "Convection Roast"
Note:If the FAST PREHEAT touch key lights up, the
function can be activated.
Setting fast preheat
To achieve an even cooking result, wait until fast preheat
is complete before placing your food or accessories into
the oven cavity.
1. Set the desired heating mode and temperature.
2. Press START I STOP.
3. Press FAST PREHEAT.
a lights up on the display.
a When the set temperature is reached, the function turns
off automatically. The indicator turns off.
4. Place the food into the oven cavity.
Note:You can turn off fast preheat manually by pressing
FAST PREHEAT.
7.10 Turning the panel lock on or off
With the panel lock you can disable all touch keys on the
control panel.
Requirement:The oven is in standby mode.
1. Press and hold TIMERS for 4seconds.
a The panel lock is activated.
2. Press and hold TIMERS again for 4seconds to turn off
the panel lock.
a The display returns to standby mode.
7.11 Meat probe
The meat probe measures the internal temperature of the
food. You can set a core temperature and the heating
mode turns off automatically as soon as the set tempera-
ture is reached.
The multi-point meat probe measures the temperature in
three different areas of your food ensuring the most accu-
rate cooking results.
WARNING
Use of a wrong meat probe can damage the insulation.

Use only the meat probe intended for this appliance.
Suitable heating modes:
¡ "True Convection"
¡ "Convection Bake"
¡ "Bake"
¡ "Convection Roast"
¡ "Roast"
¡ "Slow Roast"
¡ The meat probe measures the temperature on the in-
side of the food between 85°F (30°C) and 210°F
(99°C).
¡ To prevent the meat probe from being damaged, do not
set an oven temperature above 480°F (250°C).
¡ Use only the meat probe supplied with your appliance.
Additional or replacement meat probes can be ordered
from Customer Service.
¡ Do not store the probe in the oven cavity. Always re-
move the meat probe from the oven cavity after use.
Inserting the meat probe
Requirements
¡ Food must be completely thawed before inserting the
probe into the meat.
¡ The probe ships with a black plastic safety cap over the
pointed metal end of the probe. The cap must be re-
moved prior to use.
1. Insert the tip of the probe in the middle and thickest part
of the meat or the breast for poultry. Make sure the
probe is not touching fat, bone or parts of the oven or
the pan.
Always use the handle of the probe for inserting and re-
moving.
2. Insert the plug of the probe into the socket at the side of
the oven cavity.

The oven interior and the meat probe become very hot.
