Operating the steam oven
Food can be cooked very gently using steam.
You can also use steam assistance with some conven-
tional heating modes.
WARNING
Hot steam may escape when the appliance door is
opened. Steam is not visible at certain temperatures!
Open the appliance door carefully during or after cook-
ing.
Do not stand too near or lean over the appliance when
opening the appliance door .
Note:There is a humming noise while the pump is in op-
eration and after switching it off. This noise is caused by
the pump function test. It is a normal operating noise. You
will also hear this noise after running non-steam modes
when the oven is turned off. This is normal.
10.1 Filling the water tank
Most heating modes use steam. Ensure the water tank is
sufficiently filled before operation.

¡ You have set the water hardness level.
1. Open door and remove the water tank.
The water tank is on the right side of the steam oven
cavity.
2. Moisten the seal in the tank lid with some water before
using it for the first time.
3. Fill the water tank to the “MAX” line with cold water. The
tank holds 1.4quarts (1.3liters) of water.
4. Close tank lid until it snaps.
5. Insert water tank completely so the tank handle is flush
with the tank holder flange.
6. Ensure that the water tank rests level within the tank
holder.
