The oven heats up to a very high temperature during self
cleaning. Opening the door can result in injury.
▶
When self-cleaning, confirm that the door locks and will
not open.
▶
If the door does not lock, do not run Self Clean. Contact
Customer Service.
CAUTION
Remove broiler pans, pots, and other utensils and excess
spillage before self-cleaning.
Do not leave food or cooking utensils, etc., in the oven
during the pyrolytic self-cleaning mode of operation.
CAUTION
The oven vents are important for air circulation. Covering
the oven vents will cause the oven to overheat. Refer to
the appliance overview for the location of the oven vents.

Do not obstruct oven vents.
NOTICE:
Do not clean parts or accessories with the self clean func-
tion.
1. Remove all accessories and racks from the oven.
2. Wipe out excessive spillage from the oven cavity.

ing the oven for self clean →

1. Select the lower oven cavity .
2. Press MENU.
3. Swipe to select "Self Clean" .
4. Select a cleaning intensity according to the amount of
soiling.
Intensity level Duration (excluding cool

medium 2½hours

5. Touch "Continue".
6. Press START I STOP.
a The oven door locks automatically.
a When self clean is finished, a signal sounds and the ap-
pliance is turned off.
a The door remains locked until the appliance has cooled
off.
7. Wipe the remaining ash from the oven with a moist
cloth.
Note:After the self clean cycle is completed, the appli-
ance will not allow you to start another self clean cycle for
24hours.
Easy clean
This function makes it easier to clean the bottom of the
oven cavity. Food and food spills are soaked and can then
be removed more easily.
Setting easy clean for the conventional oven
CAUTION
Hot steam can arise due to water in the hot oven cavity.
▶
Never pour water into the hot oven cavity.
Note:Do not open the appliance door during operation, or
the function will be interrupted.
Requirement:The oven cavity has cooled off.
1. Place the wire rack on level 3. Remove all other racks
and accessories from the oven cavity.
2. Mix 2cups of water and ½cup of vinegar into the
broiler pan and place it on the wire rack.
3. Press ON I OFF.
4. Select the lower oven cavity.
5. Press MENU.
6. Swipe to select "Easy Clean" .
7. Touch the bottom line of the display.
8. Press START I STOP.
a The cleaning time counts down on the display.
9. Carry out the steps for subsequent cleaning.
Subsequently cleaning the oven cavity after the
cleaning function
Clean the oven cavity manually as soon as it has cooled
off after the cleaning function.
NOTICE:
Moisture in the oven cavity can cause damage to the sur-
faces.

Remove remaining water from the oven cavity promptly.
▶
Do not leave the remaining water in the oven cavity for
a long time, for example overnight.
▶
Do not operate the appliance when the oven cavity is
still wet or damp.
1. Open the appliance door and remove the remaining wa-
ter with an absorbent sponge cloth.
2. Clean the smooth surfaces in the oven cavity with a
dish cloth or a soft brush. Stubborn residues can be re-
moved using a soft scouring pad.
3. Remove limescale with a cloth soaked in vinegar and
wipe it with clean water. Rub the oven cavity dry with a
soft cloth; also dry under the door seal.
4. Turn the appliance off.
5. Leave the appliance door ajar in the stop position (ap-
prox. 30°) for about one hour to allow the enamel sur-
faces in the oven cavity to dry thoroughly.

Cleaning the oven cavity
Carry out the following steps after every use,. The steam
oven cavity can rust if not properly cared for.
CAUTION
Exercise caution when opening the appliance. Standing to
the side, open the door slowly and only slightly to let hot
air and/or steam escape.

Keep your face clear of the opening and make sure
there are no children or pets near the unit.
▶
After the hot air and/or steam is released, proceed with
your cooking.
▶
Keep the appliance door shut unless necessary for
cooking or cleaning purposes.
▶
Do not leave the open appliance door unattended.
