Subsequently cleaning the oven cavity after the
cleaning function
Clean the oven cavity manually as soon as it has cooled
off after the cleaning function.
NOTICE:
Moisture in the oven cavity can cause damage to the sur-
faces.
▶
Remove remaining water from the oven cavity promptly.
▶
Do not leave the remaining water in the oven cavity for
a long time, for example overnight.
▶
Do not operate the appliance when the oven cavity is
still wet or damp.
1. Open the appliance door and remove the remaining wa-
ter with an absorbent sponge cloth.
2. Clean the smooth surfaces in the oven cavity with a
dish cloth or a soft brush. Stubborn residues can be re-
moved using a soft scouring pad.
3. Remove limescale with a cloth soaked in vinegar and
wipe it with clean water. Rub the oven cavity dry with a
soft cloth; also dry under the door seal.
4. Turn the appliance off.
5. Leave the appliance door ajar in the stop position (ap-
prox. 30°) for about one hour to allow the enamel sur-
faces in the oven cavity to dry thoroughly.
You can also use the drying function.
Setting the drying function
You can use the drying function to dry the steam oven
cavity after operation.
1. Press ON I OFF.
2. Press MENU.
3. Swipe to select "Drying" .
4. Touch the bottom line.
5. Press START I STOP.
Descaling
Even if you use softened water, you will need to descale
the steam oven at regular intervals.
The descaling program consists of several steps. For hy-
giene reasons, the descaling program must be run through
completely so that the appliance can be ready for opera-
tion again. In total, the descaling program runs for approx.
70-90minutes.
Setting the descaling function
Tip:Follow the step by step instructions on the display.
1. Mix 3½ cups (800ml) of water with half a bottle
(200ml) of descaler and set it aside.
2. Press ON I OFF.
3. Press MENU.
4. Swipe to select "Descaling" .
5. Touch "Continue".
6. Touch "Continue".
a The instructions for the descaling solution are dis-
played.
7. Remove the water tank and fill it with the prepared
descaling solution. Insert the water tank.
8. Press START I STOP.
a The duration of the descaling program is displayed. It
cannot be changed.
a The appliance starts the descaling cycle.
a The remaining time counts down on the display.
a When the descaling cycle is finished a signal sounds.
9. Continue with the first rinse cycle:
‒ When the display prompts you to open the appliance
door, remove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly.
‒ Fill the water tank with fresh water and reinsert it.
‒ Close the appliance door.
a The rinse cycle starts automatically.
a When the first rinse cycle is finished a signal sounds.
10. Continue with the seconds rinse cycle:
‒ When the display prompts you to open the appliance
door, remove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly.
‒ Fill the water tank with fresh water and reinsert it.
‒ Close the appliance door.
a The rinse cycle starts automatically.
a When the second rinse cycle is finished a signal
sounds.
11. Complete the descaling program:
‒ Open the appliance door.
‒ Empty the water tank, rinse it thoroughly. Dry the wa-
ter tank and reinsert it.
a Descaling is complete. The appliance is ready for use.
Cleaning sponge
The cleaning sponge provided is very absorbent. Use the
cleaning sponge wipe down the oven cavity and to remove
any water remaining on the oven cavity bottom.
¡ Wash the cleaning sponge thoroughly before initial use.
The cleaning sponge can be washed in a dishwasher.
¡ Wipe down the oven using the cleaning sponge and dry
afterwards using a soft cloth.
¡ Use the cleaning sponge only to clean the oven cavity
and to remove any water remaining on the oven cavity
bottom.
Cleaning recommendations
CAUTION
Wait until the appliance has cooled before cleaning.
¡ Use only clean soft cloths, sponges, paper towels, or fi-
brous brushes for cleaning and scouring.
¡ DO NOT use abrasive products such as steel wool or
abrasive pads.
¡ DO NOT use cellulose sponges. Some sponges are
processed with salt and can cause corrosion by leaving
salt deposits on the metal.
¡ DO NOT allow any cleaning compounds to remain in
contact with stainless steel for extended periods.
¡ DO NOT USE CHLORINE-BASED CLEANERS.
¡ Always wipe dry immediately to avoid water marks.
