End Use and Care Instructions for Thermally Modified Wood Items
Allwood is selling Thermally Modified Decking, Planters and Benches and other
items under it’s TherMod brand. These items can be sealed, stained and painted
using the same products available for standard untreated wood. Due to the nature
of Thermal Treating process, any surface not coated or sealed will gradually turn
into silvery gray color tone when exposed to direct sunlight. Initial color tone can
be restored by applying washing products available in building products and
similar stores. More than one such treatment may be needed. For decking we
recommend pressure wash as the first step.

Warranty for TherMod products distributed by Allwood
Allwood’s TherMod products carry a 2 year Manufacturer’s Warranty against
delamination / rot and decay. Warranty does not cover direct saltwater exposure.
Any untreated / uncoated Thermally Treated surface will gradually turn
Into silvery gray color tone. Such color tone change is not considered a defect and
isl not be covered by Warranty. Please see the End Use and Care Instructions
above for restoring the original color tone.
