HEAT SHRINKABLE
INSULATING END CAPS
MATERIAL:
Thermally stabilized, modied polyolen, inner portion of end cap provided with factory applied sealant.
* Voltage Rating: 600 Volts Max. * Temperature Rating: 90˚C Max. * Flame retardant.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Slide expanded heat shrinkable cap over item to be covered.
2. Shrink the cap by applying heat, using a torch (Catalog Number SIT-1) or hot air blower
(heat gun TBM750F or WT1400), or equivalent heat source. Tubing starts to shrink at 250-275˚F.
CAUTION: KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM TORCH OR HEAT SOURCE.
3. Shrink the cap from the closed end toward the open end. As heat is applied, move heat
source around the cap to be shrunk. THIS WILL ENSURE EVEN SHRINKAGE.
4. When the cap has been recovered (shrunk) enough to conform to the shape of the item
covered and sealant is seen to ow, discontinue heating.

to determine the suitability of this product for the user’s intended application. Thomas & Betts warrants that this
product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years following the date of
purchase. Upon prompt notication of any warranted defect, Thomas & Betts will, at its option, repair or replace the
defective product or refund the purchase price. Proof of purchase is required. Misuse or unauthorized modication
of the product voids all warranties.
Limitations and Exclusions: THE ABOVE WARRANTY IS THE SOLE WARRANTY CONCERNING THIS PRODUCT,
AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHICH ARE
SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED. LIABILITY FOR BREACH OF THE ABOVE WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO COST OF
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT, AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THOMAS & BETTS
BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
