Should your appliance unexpectedly fail to function satisfactorily, please check whether the fault is due to one of the minor causes specified below,
before contacting our Customer Service Centre.
Faults /Malfunctions Cause / Remedy
General (all functions)
The appliance cannot be started. – Are mains lead, plug and socket intact? Before checking, disconnect mains plug; any
necessary repairs to be carried out by authorised, specialist personnel.
– Has the appliance been switched on (master-switch 14)

Vacuuming (dry vacuuming)
Dust escaping from suction socket Has the AQUAFILTER system been fitted in accordance with the operating instructions?

Is there enough water in the dirty–water container and is the suction filter (44) completely
submerged in the water bath?

Is the suction filter dirty or is the Aqua injection nozzle in the air intake fitting clogged up?

Spray extraction

completely and turn it on again.

Place the nozzle in lukewarm water, leave for a while and
then blow out under high pressure
Is the tank supply opening blocked?
Remove fresh-water tank and clean the supply
opening (connection point between fresh-water tank and housing) thoroughly with the joint
nozzle, to remove any dirt.
Temperature of spraying liquid is too low – Is heating switch (12) switched on

– Increase water temperature in the fresh water tank (max. 30° C only).
9.0 Troubleshooting
Ask your dealer for the address of the THOMAS Customer Service Cen-
tre which is responsible for your area.
Please also notify your dealer of the specifications stated
on the rating plate of your THOMAS TWIN.
In order to maintain the safety of your appliance, repairs,
especially to live parts, should be carried out by qualified
electricians only.
In the event of a fault, you should therefore approach your
dealer or the THOMAS Customer Service Centre directly.
