8. If verification of the bonding resistance between the antenna and the fuselage is
required, perform the measurement from the inside of the fuselage, between the body
of the TNC connector and a suitable point on the inside of the fuselage.
9. Prior to fitting the sealing caps, apply a bead of non-curing Mastic-type sealant to the
rim of the bolt access holes in the antenna radome as shown in blue in Figure 3-6.
10.Insert an air displacer into each mounting hole.
11.Check that the O-ring on the sealing cap is securely fitted into the o-ring groove.
12.Insert the sealing caps from the Mounting Hole Sealing Kit into each mounting hole and
fasten (1/4-turn) with a 4-6mm flat screwdriver.
13.Wipe off any excess sealant.
14.Fill slots in the sealing caps with the same non-curing Mastic-type sealant to minimise
acoustic noise.
CAUTION! It is the responsibility of the Installer to ensure that
the correct length and type of bolt is used.

The sealant forms an additional seal against water ingress and also minimises
acoustic noise.
