Functionality
6-34 Confidential - For internal use 99-137719-D
The disadvantage of using the faster bit rate ramp up is a higher power consumption,
especially if the HDR connection is primarily used in the forward direction. This must
be taken into consideration by integrators when making a battery-powered product.
6.6.14 SMS
The BGAN XL Radio Module contains an SMS (Short Message Service) manager that
stores Short Messages and Status Reports in persistent storage. Interface to the SMS
manager is described in 7.5.12 on page 7-13.
When a Status Report is received it will per default only be stored if the matching sent
SMS has been deleted.
The .status_report.store_unknown can be used to control how received Status Reports
are handled. Can e.g. be useful if the Integrators chooses a solution based on Linux
smsd daemon where SMS storage is in the smsd daemon..
6.6.15 Satellite table
For testing purposes it can be necessary to change the satellite table. For more info on

.satellite_id), or reset the satellite table to default.
It is not possible to delete or add new entries in the satellite table.
