.pdp.<x>.rab should normally not be used. It is intended for aeronautical terminals
with SwiftBroadband Oceanic Safety Service implemented. In this case it can be used to
detect if radio resources on the PDP context are lost, and if so re-establish the PDP
context.
6.7.8 Navigational information (aeronautical) (FOR INTERNAL USE)
The BGAN XL Radio Module supports an aeronautical receive path equalizer as defined
in the SDM. For optimal performance, the equalizer requires information about the
delay between the direct and the reflected signal. The delay is calculated by RM.
6.7.9 Data segregation (aeronautical) (FOR INTERNAL USE)
There is an ARINC-781 requirement for segregation of IP data from Aircraft Control
Domain and Aircraft Information Services Domain.
The integrator can choose to design the aeronautical product with a BGAN XL Radio
Module for each domain or a shared RM for the 2 domains. In the latter case the BGAN
XL Radio Module offers data segregation.
Aircraft Control Domain and Aircraft Information Services Domain are using separate
PDP contexts. Each PDP context has a separate data path through the RM, but there is
a shared data pool in the IAI protocol.
The integrator can inform the RM to use a high priority pool for the Aircraft Control
Domain when the PDP context is created (as described in 7.6.3.1 on page 7-21). The
PDP context related to the Aircraft Control Domain will then be handled through a
separate data pool (priority pool).
Furthermore the RM offers the integrator the option to read how much data is on
queue in the priority pool (for Aircraft Control Domain) and the normal pool (for
Aircraft Information Services Domain or other data). This information can be used by
