RF & RF control interface
If any external ATC filtering can be switched in the delay, its contribution must be
configured as the absolute delay introduced from the antenna to the input of Rx1 using
the configuration parameter .rf.delay.rx1.external as described in section 9.1.5.1 on
page 9-9.
9.1.2 Output power (Tx)
The output power, P
out
, of the BGAN XL Radio Module is controlled by three factors:
A reference level designated as the nominal output power.
A gain compensation algorithm to account for gain variations versus frequency in
e.g. the HPA.
A back-off level defined by the BGAN air interface protocols.
The first two factors are to be configured by the integrator whereas the last is
controlled by the BGAN XL Radio Module in accordance with the SDM (see [18]).
The following subsections describe each factor and the overall control mechanisms of
the output power.
9.1.2.1 Nominal output power
The nominal output power, P
nom
, is defined as the output power of the BGAN XL Radio
Module corresponding to the maximum transmitted EIRP of the terminal
1
of which the
BGAN XL Radio Module forms part.
