12.6.1 Spectrum analyzer (spectrum measurement)
This use case illustrates how the internal spectrum analyzer is configured and
activated to generate an FFT spectrum of a received forward signal. The use case
assumes that the BGAN XL Radio Module has already been brought into an active
service mode and a signal has been injected at Rx1 at 1550.01 MHz.
The following example illustrates how a simple spectrum measurement is
accomplished (substitute the IP address, if non-standard IP address is used):
1. First ensure that no other service-related functions are active.
2. Set the span to 2 MHz, the centre frequency to 1550 MHz, the number of averages to
100, the window type to Hanning and the gain to -1.00 dB by filling the appropriate
boxes at http://192.168.1.1:8080/fft/ and clicking Save All
3. Instruct the spectrum analyzer to perform the FFT/measurements by clicking Run
Spectrum followed by Refresh Spectrum
4. Now the measured spectrum can be visually inspected
5. You can find additional measurements at http://192.168.1.1:8080/fft/fft_data, which
contains information similar to:
