12.7.1.2 BPLT Test setup NF calibration guideline
Before running the BPLT MTR tests, the BPLT test setup should have its UT Noise Figure
calibrated with respect to the external attenuator and written into the relevant BPLT
ut.ini file.
This calibration step is very important for MTR’s 7, 8, 9, 10 and 23, and the calibration
procedure is described below. The NF calibration needs to be run for each tested
forward frequency at each tested temperature point.
Prerequisites:
The UT under test must use a factory calibrated Radio Module.
Boltzmann constant:
Calibration procedure:
1. Verify the attenuator setting in bplt.ini
RFU attenuator.
Measure and log the External Attenuation including cables into bplt.ini
(Attenuation between BPLT/RFU and UT)
2. Boot UT Radio Module into service mode, See 12.1.1 on page 12-2
3. Measure and log the temperature of the test:]
4. Manually setup a CW on the BPLT and log the Tx Level
from Bearer status window at 1542 MHz:
5. Calculate the UT input level:
