The IP network layer provides access to
local services and to the CS service, which is
accessed via SIP.

The CS services of the BGAN network are
provided by the RM via the SIP and RTP
protocols. SIP is used for call control
(session control in SIP terminology) and
RTP is used for user plane data.

The PS services of the BGAN network are
provided by the RM via the PPPoE protocol.
Each PPPoE sessions maps directly to a PDP
context in the PDCP protocol.

Telnet
The management services are provided via
three protocols. HTTP is the primary access
path to the configuration system of the
module. The syslog protocol is used for
event reporting and data logging. The
Telnet protocol is used for the AT command
shell and as internal debug command shell.
