QAM Quadrature Amplitude Modulation.
QoS Quality of Service refers to several related aspects of telephony that allow the
transport of traffic with special requirements on aspects of a connection. It comprises
aspects of a connection relating to capacity and coverage of a network, for example
guaranteed maximum blocking probability and outage probability.

SDR Software defined radio, is a radio communication system where components that
typically have been implemented in hardware (such as mixers, filters, amplifiers,
modulators/demodulators and detectors) are now implemented by means of software
in an embedded system to provide a more flexible design.
SDU Service Data Unit is a unit of data that has been passed down from an upper layer to
a lower layer and that has not yet been encapsulated into a protocol data unit (PDU)
by the lower layer. It is a set of data that is sent by a user of the services of a given
layer, and is transmitted semantically unchanged to a peer service user.
