4.2 BGAN XL Radio Module interface overview
The BGAN XL Radio Module provides a number of interfaces for integration into a
terminal. The various interfaces are listed below with a short description of the
functionality:

Data Interfaces
Data IF Used for payload data, management, event detection,
software upload etc.

TSI IF Used for ISDN data (optional). TSI slave
Control Interfaces
Control IF Used for configuration and control of the BGAN XL Radio
Module.
UART
RF Control IF Provides timing-critical information of the physical layer
operation of the BGAN air-interface.
SPI master +
4 discretes
RF Interfaces
Rx1 1518-1559 MHz high dynamic range receiver input. Coax
Rx2 130-140 MHz secondary receiver input for diversity use. Coax
Tx 1626.5-1675.0 MHz transmitter output. Coax
Ref Clk Precision reference clock input/output.
Used as either input for external reference clock or output
to provide a low-phase noise precision clock for e.g.
external RF circuitry.
