Secure all wiring connections together
with wire connectors according to the
diagram and these steps:
• Connect the Green wires from the
downrod and the mounting bracket to
the Bare/Green (ground) supply wire.
• Connect the Blue from the receiver to
the Blue fan wire.
• Connect the Red wire from the receiver
to the Black (hot/power) supply wire.
• Connect White wire (red label) from the
receiver to the White (neutral) supply wire.
• Connect the White wire (white label)
from the receiver to the White fan wire.
• Connect the Black wire from the
receiver to the Black fan wire.
Align the canopy over the
loose mounting bracket screws
preassembled on mounting bracket.
Place the L-slot of the canopy onto
the mounting bracket screws and
rotate the canopy counterclockwise.
Re-install the two previously removed
mounting bracket screws and star
washers into the round holes of the
canopy.
1b. Wire the fan (with remote). 2. Attach the canopy to the
mounting bracket.
Connect supply and fan wires with wire
connectors according to the diagram
and these steps:
• Connect the Green wires from the
downrod and the mounting bracket to
the Bare/Green (ground) supply wire.
• Connect the White wire from the fan
to the White (neutral) supply wire.
• Connect the Blue and Black wires from
the fan to the Black (hot) supply wire.
Note: The Black wire is power for the
fan. The Blue wire is power for the light.
The White wire is neutral. The Bare/
Green wire is the ground.

Note: If there is a second hot supply wire
coming from the outlet box, connect it to the
blue (light power) fan wire for separate light and
fan control.
Note: Closemount will not use downrod.
Note: Receiver wires with red labels connect to
supply wires. Receiver wires with white labels
connect to fan wires.
