Congratulations and thank you for your purchase of low maintenance, high quality
Perfection® Shakes and Shingles siding by KP Building Products (KP). Our products utilize
products with a transferable limited lifetime warranty.
TERMS
KP warrants to the original homeowner/purchaser that Perfection® Shakes and Shingles
siding will be free from manufacturing defects when properly installed and subjected to

KP also warrants to you that for eight (8) years Perfection® Shakes and Shingles siding

KP Perfection® Shakes and Shingles siding purchased by or installed on property owned
in whole or in part by corporations, partnerships, trusts, government agencies, schools,
religious organizations, cooperative housing associations and condominiums shall be
covered exclusively by the 50-Year Warranty Coverage Schedule (Figure B). Any other
type of building or premises not used as a single family dwelling by the owner, including
apartment buildings, shall be covered for 50 years under the provisions set forth in the
50-Year Warranty Coverage Schedule (Figure B).
During the warranty period, reimbursement for damage caused by hail must be
pursued by the original homeowner/purchaser through homeowner’s insurance
or any other applicable insurance coverage. KP will not be liable for expenses in
excess of the replacement cost of materials required to replace only hail-damaged
purchase of any additional siding intended to replace Product(s) not damaged by hail.
Excluding insurance deductible and labor, KP will reimburse expenses incurred by the
claimant in excess of the amount covered by insurance. Proof of insurance claims must
be provided.
TRANSFER OF COVERAGE
In the event of a change in ownership, the original purchaser may transfer the 50-Year
warranty to the subsequent owner of the property. Upon transfer of the property, the
siding will be covered under terms described by the 50-Year Warranty Coverage Schedule
(Figure B), calculated from the date siding was originally installed.

LIMITATIONS

outlined in the instruction manual;

• Improper handling or storage;
• Defects in, failure of, or damage to the material or wall on which the Perfection®
Shakes and Shingles siding was installed caused by distortion, movement,
cracking or settling of the wall or material or the foundation of the building;
• Any cause not directly a result of manufacturing defects.

KP Perfection® Shakes and Shingles siding is not warranted against damage caused by mildew,
air pollution, and exposure to harmful chemicals/cleansers, or normal weathering from the
stain and accumulate dirt. Geographic location, air quality and other factors beyond our control
will govern the severity of these conditions. Normal weathering will be determined by criteria
set forth by KP. If the siding is determined to be weathered beyond normal expectations and
is deemed defective, KP will, at its discretion, coat, repair, or replace the defective siding. KP
reserves, at its option, the right to refund the amount paid by the original owner for the siding,
accessories and a customary labor allowance (labor allowance at the sole discretion of KP).
KP reserves the right to discontinue or modify any of its products, including color, without
notice to the consumer. KP shall not be liable for variations in color or gloss of its product as
compared to product that has experienced normal weathering. In the event that the product
