The rst part of the setup process is performed at your computer. You’ll need your phone, too.
2. Install and set up the soware.
Place the CD in your
computer’s CD drive. When
the opening screen appears,
click “Install TimePilot
Soware,” then “TimePilot
Installaon Wizard.
Click the “Install TimePilot
Soware” buon. This will
install TimePilot Central,
the core of the TimePilot
system, and Clock Manager.
When installaon is complete, double-
click the TimePilot Central icon on your PC
to start the Setup Wizard, which will guide
you through seng up the
soware on your computer.
You’ll need your soware’s
serial number; its on a scker
aached to the printed
warranty informaon that
came with your product.
Make it easy on yourself:
When assigning iBuons, you
can use the iBuon Receptor
to read each iBuon’s serial number. Just
plug the Receptor into a USB port, snap an
iBuon into the Receptor and click the “Get
iBuon Number” buon on the Employee
Prole screen.
3. Install Dropbox on
your PC.
If you don’t already have Dropbox,
go online to www.Dropbox.com
and open a free account. You’ll
download the program on your
PC and end up with a folder called
Dropbox on your desktop.
Dropbox is a free cloud service
that is used by TimePilot as a
conduit between smartphones
running the TimePilot app and
PCs running TimePilot Central.
5. Set up Dropbox on your phone and link it to TimePilot Central.
4. Download &
install the app.
Go to your app store—
iTunes’ App Store for
iPhones and Google Play
for Android phones—
and download the
TimePilot app. Its free.
To nd the app, search
for “TimePilot.
Start the TimePilot iPhone App and tap “Sengs” in
the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Then tap the
“Dropbox” buon.
Tap the “Link to Dropbox Account” buon that appears.
You’ll be taken to a screen (shown at le) where you’ll
enter the email and password you set up with Dropbox
when you set it up on your PC (in Step 3).
The app will create a folder called XBlue in the
Dropbox folder on your PC. When you upload data
from the phone, this is where the data will land,
ready to be picked up by TimePilot Central.
Once you are successfully linked, you will be taken
back to the TimePilot app and noed that the link
was successful.
Dropbox
Data travels from
your smartphone to
your Dropbox folder,
and is retrieved by
TimePilot Central.
