The thickness of the glass bottom in the center of the petri dish is
0.15-0.20mm. The sample should be as close to the bottom as possible
when it is placed in the groove. The observation depth of field of the micro-
scope camera is 0-0.15mm above the glass surface of the petri dish.
Use the dropper to pick up the liquid sample and squeeze it
out into the middle of the center groove of the petri dish. If the
sample contains any solid material, try to make sure they are
situated close to the glass bottom of the dish.
If the sample is a living organism (such as an insect, etc.),
please keep the sample as settled as possible. After placing
the sample in the groove, cover with the sheet cover to prevent
the sample from moving out of focal range. When observing
transparent objects or objects with lighter colors, we recom-
mend that you use a black sheet cover. When observing
darker objects, you should use a white sheet cover to enhance
the contrast.
If you are observing Anaerobes, you must seal the lid of the
petri dish, Aiming the centre of groove to the camera lens,-
place the petri dish over the TinyScope CAM for observing.
The magnetic cover plate is not needed when viewing a petri
dish sample. If the contrast is not ideal for observation of the
sample, please move to a darker area to observe.
The petri dish can be washed and reused. Please clean it
carefully to avoid breaking the glass bottom. Keep the petri
dish clean and dry. Do not use bathroom tissue to clean the
glass, please use the supplied lens cloth for wiping and clean-
ing the glass.
