SPECIALTY

Titebond® GREENchoice Professional Acoustical Smoke & Sound Sealant

is a non-flammable, latex-based product designed to improve STC (Sound

Transmission Class) ratings in wall and floor systems. It acts as a draftstop

to prevent unwanted air movement and provides a barrier against dust and

other airborne particulates. It remains flexible and adheres firmly to wood

or metal studs, concrete, gypsum board and most other types of building

substrates. Its unique formulation is non-staining and non-migrating.

The sealant is used for unexposed applications at perimeter joints, floor

and ceiling runners (either wood or metal), cutouts in gypsum board,

veneer plaster systems, and other areas where a sound rated assembly

is required.

SPECIFICATIONS APPLICATION Complies with the following requirements: Titebond® Acoustical Smoke & Sound Sealant comes ready to use. Apply by professional cartridge gun. Extrude sealant into openings, gaps or holes surrounding the application. Fill joint opening to maximum capacity and repeat as necessary. If joint depth exceeds 1/2”, use backing material. To ensure neat sealant lines, mask areas adjacent to joints. Once sealant is dry to the touch and does not transfer, remove masking tape.
